The Schoolhouse is BC’s first multi-residential BuiltGreen® Platinum building.
Situated in Vancouver’s Strathcona neighbourhood, the 1930’s schoolhouse underwent a major renovation and now houses 5 residential units and an amenity space/café at the street level. The project incorporated many “green” initiatives including: geo-exchange; solar water heating; semi-permeable ground treatment; re-use of existing building materials: natural ventilation and passive solar control: and sustainable building and construction strategies.
