Vance Harris   BA, M.Arch., MAIBC, AAA, MRAIC, LEEDŽ AP

Vance holds a Masters of Architecture from the University of Calgary and a Bachelors of Arts (with Distinction) in Urban Geography from the University of Victoria. He is a member of the Architectural Institute of British Columbia, the Alberta Association of Architects (AAA), the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (MRAIC), and is a LEEDŽ Accredited Professional.

Vance has been with Hotson Bakker Boniface Haden architects + urbanistes since 2005. He brings experience in architecture, urban design, management and coordination of diverse, multi-disciplinary teams. He was the Project Architect for three subterranean Canada Line stations along the South Cambie corridor. Vance worked with the client group from the onset to develop design guidelines for the entire system, establishing global directions for exploration. Vance was also the Project Architect for the public realm surrounding the Richmond Olympic Oval. This included overseeing the design and integration of two major public art installations (Buster Simpson's 'Ice Blades' and Janet Echelman's 'Water Sky Garden'). Current project work includes upgrades to transit lines in both Vancouver and Calgary, Project Architect duties on the Canadian Navy Monument in Ottawa (with Al McWilliams), and a bespoke private residence in Vancouver. In his spare time, Vance volunteers as a mentor within the RAIC Syllabus program.
